Valka has delivered and installed a new grader for salmon fillets at Vikenco – a leading firm in the Norwegian salmon industry and a member of the growing RaumaGruppen AS. The new grader is capable of packing salmon fillets fully automatically into boxes with all the packing requirements which demanding customers in the USA and elsewhere make. “The RapidAligner machine is an important part in building the Vikenco quality on the US market,” says Jonny Småge, vise president of Vikenco.

 Valka won the Icelandic Fisheries Award 2008 which were awarded during the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition now in October. The award is in the category: Outstanding Icelandic Supplier of processing equipment and solutions among smaller companies.
The Valka stand was very busy during the exhibition and visitors showed great interest in Valka products and the products we are selling in Iceland from our partners abroad. The main products of interest where the RapidAligner, the RobotFeeder, the RapidTrade software, a new skinning machine from Uni-food, pelagic systems from First process and last but not least automatic feeding into tubs from injection machines for Salt fish production and other automation solution for saltfish production from P/F MEST.

SolidWorks leggur mikið upp úr því að gera hönnuðum sem eru enn að hanna í tvívídd með Autocad eins auðvelt og hagkvæmt og mögulegt er að færa sig yfir í þrívíða hönnun með SolidWorks.  Valka RapidWeigher Fully Automatic Multi-head Weigher for Fresh Fish Products
A major advance in fish processing, the Valka RapidWeigher multi-head weigher is the first machine of its kind that handles almost any type of fresh fish products while being fed completely automatically. This revolutionary new product is currently being developed by Valka, in close co-operation with leading Icelandic fish producer HB Grandi hf, with support from the AVS R&D Fund of the Ministry of Fisheries in Iceland.

One of Iceland’s leading fish producers, Nesfiskur ehf, has completed the purchase of two Valka RapidFeed machines to feed a new 2500 kg/hour IQF spiral freezer manufactured by Dantech of Singapore. The new machines will be installed during the summer.
Located in the village of Gardur at the tip of the Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland’s extreme southwest, Nesfiskur processes primarily cod, saithe and redfish fillets. The company made its decision to purchase the machines after carefully evaluating the performance of three RapidFeeds in operation since the beginning of the year at Reykjavík processor Grandi hf.
Having examined the situation closely, Nesfiskur arrived at the same conclusion as Grandi, that the Valka RapidFeed is an essential part of any IQF installation in order to obtain optimum utilisation of the freezer.
